Anne Marie Wersching was born in St. Louis and raised there. In the beginning, she decided to pursue an entertainment career. She was a performer at local theatres, and also danced for 14 years with a troupe called St. Louis Celtic Stepdancers. After relocating to Chicago where she performed, she appeared in several touring plays and during the Utah Shakespearean Festival.
